Na enkele GTA V gameplay video's te zien lijkt me de rijstijl ver achteruit gegaan, precies terug zoals GTA sanandreas, dan vondt ik deze comment:
"The driving mechanics in Grand Theft Auto IV was really realistic and driving cars in the game was like driving a tank and all the cars in Grand Theft Auto IV had weight and pressure to it and it also had shocks to decompress the vehicle when it turns and the cars will also lose control if you go too fast or it will have large swiping turns and Grand Theft Auto V will have improved driving mechanics and driving the cars will be like driving a car in a Need For Speed game and the cars will feel like a race car, Rockstar games said themselves that they are adding this mechanic in this game.

Because the driving mechanics and car damage in GTA IV, were a step in the right direction. It was what made every chase unique and complex. It took skill to drive and better it looked completely realistic in the way the cars moved.
Now.
The new mechanics? The driving looks cartoonish. This is a step backwards. Now if you crash a car, do not expect fantastic damage detail, instead you will get the same type of damage as you would from any normal racing game. So every car is essentially a tank now. Why has this been done? Apparently a lot of people were complaining, this group of people consisted of children and people who were just generally bad at the driving and used to pathetic racing games that weren't realistic.
So.
Why are people so angry? The driving has been simplified for children and bad drivers. The driving now looks actually terrible and cheap in comparison and not to mention jerky, whereas the GTA IV driving looked realistic and smooth. Several people I know are that pissed off, they have cancelled their pre order and even I have considered cancelling.
The reality of it is, the people who did not like GTA IV cars and driving, were simply bad at the game, they had no skill when it came to driving.
Now more children can enjoy GTA V. Whereas the older and proper audience will be turned off. "

Dit doet mij zeer hard twijfelen of ik wel GTA V ga kopen als het ooit voor PC uit komt...
